Ingredients
• 5 cups water
• 5 tablespoons instant dashi
• 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 3 tablespoons mirin
• 1-4 packages of frozen udon noodles
• 2+ stalks of green onions
• pinch of white pepper
Instructions
Step One: Make the Broth
1. Boil 5 cups of water.
2. Add the instant dashi, soy sauce, mirin, sugar.
3. Simmer until sugar and dashi disperse and all is combined.
Step 2: Noodles
4. Boil the noodles according to package instructions.
5. Once cooked, strain the water and rinse with cold water.
Step 3: Serve
6. Divide noodles into 4 bowls.
7. Pour broth over the top and garnish with green onions and white pepper.
